Small Update 11/9/2010

Sorry for the lack of news and such, been a bit distracted lately. A friend of mine gave me a free copy of Railsim which I played for quite a bit, but now I'm back to Trainz. As such I'm going to try and get my EJ&E SD9 skin finished and packed up. In the mean time I also have started a little something to go with it.

With the recent release of Ben Neal's SD9's (available here ) Ive started working on an EJ&E skin for it, and I plan on other roads to follow. The nice thing about Ben's SD9 is that it is easy to skin and he has made it easy to customize with a handful of add-on detail parts. Heres the progress on the EJ&E unit so far :

The J only purchased 3 SD9's straight from EMD, but later on several more came from the DM&IR, the 601 pictured above is a part of that original order, but I plan on doing 2 numbers of the ex Missabe locomotives (which are more distinct with their short hood nose bells and dynamic brakes) soon.

Now Available: PRR F7’s Lightly Weathered! SCL F7’s also updated.

Now available in the downloads section, PRR F7’s lightly weathered complete with prototype train-phone antennas.

Also the SCL F7’s have been updated to correct an error with the lettering on the B-Units.

MGTrainz Has a New Member: Simulatortrain

I am proud to announce the first non-me member of MGTrainz, Simulatortrain. He has been working on several models including a N&W M2 4-8-0:

Next a new site called Jointed Rail recently release a beautiful set of F7’s in GN, ATSF, and Southern (Post about them on the auran forums).

They were even nice enough to release a reskin kit as well, so I started working on a set of Milwaukee Road Units

Right now I'm working on the later simple Orange/Black scheme but I plan on doing the earlier scheme as well as the UP scheme.

Also a quick update on Milwaukee Road route (on which the F unit pics were taken), I recently re-tracked the entire layout to look even better and now I'm focusing on scenery.
